In 2012 we worked with Dr Helen Penrose to document Sea Country knowledge. The purpose of this mapping was to capture Lama Lama knowledge of the different species found in our waters.
Our work together included species identification workshops and a ‘Sea Country Mapping’ workshop that recorded our sightings of dolphins, dugongs, turtles, sawfish, crocodiles, seagrass and mangroves.
