Visiting Lama Lama Country
A visit to Lama Lama Country offers you a range of activities which include bird watching, fishing, boating, tours and camping. Information about our Country, our ranger program and our culture is shared through signage and information booths as you drive through.
Our rangers may be able to accommodate requests for specialised small-group tours. Please make arrangements in advance.
All visitors should first check in at the Lama Lama Ranger Base at Port Stewart. The base is attended daily from 8am to 4.30pm. Visitors to Silver Plains can also check in at the Homestead. Enquiries can also be made at our Coen and Cairns offices.
Our rangers will provide you with information and instructions about suitable camping sites and activities. Permits are required if you wish to camp and fees apply.
